organisations that might be helpful to you.
4Louis are a charity who support bereaved families after a miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal loss or death of an older child. They provide memory boxes to hospitals and hospices, allowing bereaved families gain precious memories. They also provide vital equipment such as 'Cuddle Cots' and 'Cuddle Blankets' as well as bereavement training with midwives and other health care professionals.
We are an Edinburgh based charity providing counselling and peer support to families who have experienced pregnancy or baby loss in Scotland. Our counsellors guide bereaved parents through the grieving process and offer free support for up to 18 months. Our peer supporters have lived experience of loss and give compassionate and flexible care in person, online, text, email and by telephone. Our innovative Hospital to Home offers families 6-8 visits in their home and provides and opt out rather than an opt in service and bridges the gap between clinical and community care.
Families can self-refer or can be referred by a health professional.
MISS Miscarriage Support is based in North East Scotland, providing advice and support for individuals and families who have been affected by miscarriage and baby loss throughout Scotland. We do this by offering individual and group counselling, we also provide memory boxes to NHS Grampian and NHS Tayside. We have set up support packs for individuals who request them which we can send out. We also offer overnight bags to hospitals, and are currently looking at options for supporting people through Trying After Loss and Pregnancy After Loss.
Sands is here to support anyone affected by pregnancy loss or the death of a baby. Every day, we work to improve care, discover why babies are dying and reduce inequalities in healthcare. We have a free telephone helpline and offer both online and face to face support across the UK, as well as a range of memory making and information resources.
The Lily Mae Foundation supports Parents and Families after a Stillbirth, Neonatal Death, Miscarriage or Medical Termination. Producing and providing Memory Boxes to hospitals across the West Midlands and Warwickshire. Offering a unique 1-2-1 support service for both bereaved parents, a variety of sibling support services and home to the male focused baby loss support podcast, the Still Parents Podcast.
Theo's Foundation is a family run non-profit organisation, that understand the profound pain of child loss. We offer bereavement support to whole families who have lost a child from early pregnancy up to 4 years of age, through the devastation of all types of loss. Our mission is to provide support and comfort whilst striving for changes in maternity care and legislation. We are creating a stampede of change, safeguarding little people...because every life is precious!

Teddy’s Wish funds research into the causes of baby loss and provides bereavement support for families who have lost a baby from stillbirth (24 weeks), neonatal death or SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome). No parent should ever have to suffer the loss of a child but for those that do, they will need all the love and support possible. The charity is self-referral and offers 12 fully funded counselling sessions, care packages for parents (who have lost a baby in the last three months) and an annual residential retreat.
